Firewall Settings for GMail

To get Mozilla Thunderbird to access GMail you'll need modify the rules in the Westel router's firewall settings.

Login to the router

Select Firewall from the Configuration menu.

Set the firewall's security level to High

Edit the settings to add the following rules under "RulesPass":

Inbound

• pass from port 995
• pass to port 995
• pass from port 587
• pass to port 587

Outbound

• pass to port 995 >> done
• pass to port 587 >> done
